Number of debt restructurings of private persons increased by 14.2 per cent in 2022 from the previous year

According to Statistics Finland, 4,355 debt restructuring petitions of private persons were filed with district courts in 2022. The number of petitions filed was 540 (14.2 %) higher than in the previous year.

Filing of debt restructuring petitions by private persons increased by 14.2 per cent in 2022 from the year before.
Altogether 47.5 per cent of debt restructuring petitions were filed by men and 52.5 per cent by women in 2022.
