Technical classification change in releases of producer price indices
Date of change:Statistics Finland's common classification versions were adopted in the releases of producer price indices. This is a technical change and the content of the classifications has not changed.
Transfer to the standard classification is visible as a systematic difference in the codes of the Standard Industrial Classification TOL 2008 used in the base years 2010=100 and 2005=100:
- At the beginning of the code the letter describing the top hierarchical level is removed from the lower level codes. For example, category A01 is now coded as 01.
- After the name of the top hierarchy level, the second hierarchy level codes belonging under it were added. For example, code A Agriculture, forestry and fishing is now A Agriculture, forestry and fishing (01-03).
The change will be valid starting from the May release on 27 June 2022.
