Labour cost index statistics are renewed: the base year changes and new local government units have been added to the statistics

Information about the change
The new base year of the labour cost index is 2020. The base year 2020=100 will be adopted starting from the release of the first quarter of 2023. Index series with the base year 2016 are no longer updated and they are archived.
Wellbeing services counties and joint county authorities for wellbeing services were included in the statistics starting from the beginning of 2023. Now the local government index series includes municipalities, wellbeing services counties, joint municipal authorities and joint county authorities for wellbeing services. A coherent time series is available from the beginning of 2008.
