Due to the changed market situation and low number of sales transactions, only the index point figures of the price index of new dwellings in housing companies for the whole country, Greater Helsinki and the rest of Finland are published starting from the first quarter of 2024 until further notice. The numbers are still published for all areas.
Due to the low number of sales, changes in average prices have been used in the price index of new dwellings in housing companies in some areas instead of quality standardisation. No separate index series is published for these areas, but the calculated index series affect aggregates, for example, the index point figure for the whole country.
More detailed regional data will be published in connection with the review
The method for new dwellings in housing companies will be reviewed in connection with the next base year revision so that more detailed regional data can also be published regionally in the changed market situation. The aim is to carry out the base year revision in connection with the publication of data for the last quarter of 2024.
