Description

They surveys Finns and the environment have studied the attitudes and concerns relating to environmental matters among the population, and changes in the environmental attitudes in the 1980s. Modelling of the attitudes has been used to analyse people’s behaviour relative to the environment. Overall environmental attitudes and concerns have also been studied by utilising statistical models.

Data content

Based on questionnaires aimed at collecting temporally and partly also internationally comparable data. Each questionnaire has also included questions on a current topical theme.

Classifications used

Gender, age, education, socio-economic group, income, regional division, geographical information (1km x 1km grid squares).

Data collection methods and data sources

Interview survey, persons in Finland aged 15 to 74 as population. Number of respondents approximately 2,000.

Updating frequency

Data have been collected in 1983, 1989, 1994 and 2000.

Time of completion or release

Data for 2000 were published in 2002.
