Accrual of environmental taxes grew by 2 per cent in 2022

According to Statistics Finland, the accrual of environmental taxes was EUR 6.6 billion in 2022, which was two per cent higher than one year earlier. The growth was particularly due to energy taxes, the accrual of which was five per cent higher than one year previously. By contrast, the accrual of transport taxes fell by four per cent from the previous year.
