Revised standard industrial classification will be introduced in statistics on inventories in May 2009
Changes in trade industries arising from the transition to TOL 2008
Under the revised industrial classification, Retail sale of automotive fuel (505) moves from industry 50, Sale, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, motor cycles; retail sale of automotive fuel, to industry 47, Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
The two-digit level trade categories of TOL 2002 on which data have been published up to now are:
- 50 Sale, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; retail sale of automotive fuel
- 51 Wholesale trade and commission trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles
- 52 Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles; repair of personal and household goods.
The two-digit level trade categories of TOL 2008 on which data will be published are:
- 45 Wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles
- 46 Wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles
- 47 Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
