Data:	Latest release: Fewer European patents granted to manufacturing industry in 2011 than in previous years 01 Nov 2012 The number of European patents granted to domestic manufacturing enterprises fell by 14 per cent from the previous year in 2011. A total of 573 European patents were granted to enterprises and associations in 2011 while the respective number in 2010 was 657. The number of enterprises having received patents was also lower than in the previous year. These data derive from statistics on patenting in 2011 published by Statistics Finland.
