Building costs were 3.2 per cent higher in March 2012 than in March 2011. Labour costs in construction rose by 2.8 per cent, prices of materials by 2.9 per cent and prices of other inputs by 6.1 per cent per year. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland 2010=100.

From February to March the total index rose by 0.8 per cent. The prices for labour rose by 1.5 per cent, the prices of materials by 0.4 per cent and the prices of other inputs by 1.5 per cent.
