Year-on-year change in turnover in the 10/2012 – 12/2012 and 10/2011 – 12/2011 time periods, % (TOL 2008)

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
When examining the whole 2012, the development of the turnover of construction enterprises weakened considerably. In the early part of the year, the turnover still increased at the rate of over ten per cent, but towards the end of the year, the rate had slowed down to under one per cent. The turnover grew by 3.9 per cent, on average, over the past year. In turn, the sales volume started to fall already in the early part of 2012, and the volume for the whole year was 2.2 per cent lower than in the year before.
The indices of turnover will adopt base year 2010=100 from the January 2013 data. Data using the new base year will be published for the first time on 15 April 2013.
