Turnover of construction enterprises grew by nearly 13 per cent in November to January

According to Statistics Finland, turnover of construction enterprises grew by 12.7 per cent in the November to January period. In the corresponding period one year earlier, the growth amounted to 8.3 per cent. In November to January, the sales volume of construction grew by 9.8 per cent.

Description: The index of turnover of construction describes monthly development in the turnover of construction companies. The examined variable is domestic turnover, formed of domestic sales subject to value added tax. The data used for calculating the variable are exclusive of value added tax. In addition, a volume index of sales is produced on construction that measures the development of output in the construction industry.

Starting from data concerning January 2017, turnover indices started to use the Tax Administration's self-assessed tax data (previously periodic tax return data).
