Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased in August 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,5 million tonnes in August 2022. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased by 8 per cent compared to August 2021. In August 2022 domestic water transport took place only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most in domestic waterborne traffic in August

Oil products were transported most, in total 262,401 tonnes, which was 52 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was ores and consentrates, 74,020 tonnes.
