review | Energy supply and consumption 31.12.2022According to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data, total energy consumption in 2022 amounted to 1.3 million terajoule (TJ), which was five per cent less than in the previous year. The mild weather and the Paperworkers’ Union’s strike at the beginning of the year reduced demand for energy. The impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was also reflected in energy consumption.
