Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 23 per cent in November 2023

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0.4 million tonnes in November 2023. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 23 per cent compared to November 2022. In November 2023 domestic water transport took place almost only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most in domestic waterborne traffic in November

Oil products were transported most, in total 173,875 tonnes, which was 45 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was coal and coke, 101,421 tonnes, which was 26 per cent of all transport.
