The Building Cost Index was renewed

The Building Cost Index has been renewed and the year 2015 has been adopted as the base year. In the renewal, the weight structures of the index were updated to correspond with the input-cost distribution in current building construction. The commodity sample has been updated to correspond with new constructional regulations. The sample of enterprises was expanded slightly due to new product price data that are collected. In terms of service headings, the data of the producer price index for services are primarily used. The new published index, the total index of residential building construction covers both newbuilding and renovation building. The agricultural buildings index and the renovation indices are removed from calculation.
