The volume of goods transported by lorries decreased in the second quarter of 2013

A total of 68 million tonnes of goods were transported by lorries in the second quarter of 2013, which was 10 per cent less than in the corresponding quarter in 2012. The volume of transported soil materials increased by 10 per cent and the volume of transport for other goods decreased by 22 per cent compared to the second quarter in 2012. These data derive from the statistics on goods transport by road compiled by Statistics Finland.
